US Lacrosse welcomes teams from across the country to play in the US Lacrosse Regional Championships. These youth lacrosse tournaments in June 2012 represent part of US Lacrosse's 15th annual series of youth events.

Raleigh to Host US Lacrosse Southeast Championships in 2013 and 2014

Our events have evolved since our first youth festival in 1998, but what hasn't changed is our commitment to running events that allow participants to compete with class, honor the game and develop relationships with teammates and opponents alike. US Lacrosse Regional Championships feature:
- Affordable team registration (see below)
- Four-game guarantee: pool play followed by bracket play
- First-class facilities (links above) with free parking and admission for fans
- US Lacrosse-trained officials
- Water, scorekeepers, table staff, lacrosse balls at each game
- Certified athletic trainers on site
- Championship medals and "Keeper of Lacrosse" sportsmanship awards
- New US Lacrosse youth rules (endorsed by college coaches' associations)
- Coverage in Lacrosse Magazine and LaxMagazine.com and interactive social media sites (see below)
- Vendor village and concession stands
Registration
Youth lacrosse coaches, administrators and US Lacrosse Chapter representatives may register one or more teams for each championship. The Regional Championship team registration fees are:
- U11 team: $1,000
- U13 team: $1,250
- U15 team: $1,350
The registration fees compare favorably to other summer youth tournaments or "showcases," many of which charge anywhere from $100 to $500 per player. Rosters for the US Lacrosse Championships may consist of up to 24 players, which works out to $42-$56 per player depending on the age level.
Top U15 Teams Advance to National Championship
In the U15 division, regional champions and second-, third- and fourth-place finishers will earn automatic invitations with free or discounted registration to the US Lacrosse U15 National Championship in Orlando July 24-26 (girls) and July 27-29 (boys). As of early March, US Lacrosse had awarded all of the at-large bids to the boys' U15 National Championship and nearly all of the available at-large bids to the girls' U15 National Championship. Space remains in Orlando for the top four finishers of each U15 Regional Championship.

Awards
US Lacrosse will crown regional champions with medals, and teams exhibiting great sportsmanship will receive
"Keeper of Lacrosse" sportsmanship awards.
Rules of Play
All US Lacrosse youth events in 2012 will feature the age-appropriate, national playing rules for youth boys’ lacrosse and youth girls’ lacrosse adopted by the US Lacrosse Board of Directors at its Sept. 10-11, 2011, meeting. The board vote concluded roughly a nine-month research, development and rules-writing process that included input nationally from youth lacrosse players, coaches, officials, administrators and parents and from the US Lacrosse Sports Science and Safety Committee. Hotel Accommodations
US Lacrosse does not longer require teams to purchase a lodging package. However, US Lacrosse does require all coaches, chaperones and players to stay in designated tournament hotels. Any player, coach or chaperone that is not registered at a US Lacrosse designated tournament hotel will be ineligible to participate in the event. Parents are welcome to book at the designated tournament hotels and are able to share rooms with their children. Teams will not be placed in hotels; they will have an option to choose from the list of designated hotels pending availability. Hotel reservations are first come, first serve.

marriott.com/uslacrosse to receive the best available rates. Marriott contributes a portion of each sale via that site back to US Lacrosse's efforts to expand youth participation, train coaches and officials, and research and reduce lacrosse injuries.
