With about 9,000 current US Lacrosse members in the area, the Potomac Chapter has been an unlimited resource for chapter members and volunteers alike. With a chapter board and volunteers of 20 under the direction of chapter president Homer Schwartz, the chapter has been exceptionally successful in supporting the growth of lacrosse. The Potomac Chapter has one of the highest growth rates in US Lacrosse memberships over the last two years. Additionally, they have been a mentor for many new chapters looking to get off the ground.

Some programs the Potomac chapter has put on include:

• Level 1 and 2 Coaching Education Clinics (several)
• Sponsored a JMU Team Clinic for girls
• Sponsor an Annual Cherry Blossom youth boys and girls tournament
• Annual Potomac Chapter Coaches Clinic and Season Kick-off meeting
• US National Team clinic hosts
• PCA Double Goal Coach Workshops (several)
• Annual Golf Outing and Dinner
• Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony (postponed until October)
• Youth Lacrosse Commissioners and League Coordinators meeting with USL Presentations
• Both U-13 and U-15 Youth Festival Team participation
• National U-15 Championship Team Participation
