Answers to frequently asked membership questions are below. Have a question not answered here, contact the membership department.
- Q: What is my US Lacrosse membership number? How can I find it?
Your membership number is found above your name on all mailings from US Lacrosse including your membership card, renewal notices and your magazine label. If we have a valid and legible e-mail address, your number was also sent to you when you renewed/joined. You can also go to this page - http://usl.ebiz.uapps.net/personifyebusiness/MemberSearch.aspx - and enter the requested fields.
- Q: How do I join or renew my membership with US Lacrosse?
New and renewing members must either submit an application or register securely online. Renewing or former members must use their old membership number to avoid duplicate memberships. An application may be downloaded or one can be mailed or faxed to you. Call the membership department at 410.235.6882 ext. 102, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., EST or e-mail email@example.com for your old membership number. Two months before your membership expires, you will begin to receive e-mail notices. You will also receive up to three renewal notices in the mail. Standard processing time for faxed or mailed applications is 2-3 weeks.
- Q: What is my membership renewal date?
A membership is good for 12 months for members that renew by the due date. The memberships for officials all expire as of September 30, regardless of when the official joined. Any official that joins or renews after September 30 will have their membership for less than 12 months. The fees are still the entire amount for one year (not pro-rated) and the membership is nonrefundable. Members who are cross participants including the official category will also have their membership expire on September 30. You will begin to receive e-mails two months before your membership expires and an application in the mail the month before your expiration date.
- Q: What benefits do I receive with my membership?
US Lacrosse members receive Lacrosse Magazine, comprehensive lacrosse insurance, membership in a local chapter, an e-mail newsletter, discounted merchandise, free admission to the Lacrosse Museum and National Hall of Fame, eligibility to attend US Lacrosse events, knowledge of supporting the growth and development of the sport, access to programs and services and ability to utilize national partnerships. Click here for detailed benefit information.
- Q: How long will it be before I receive my membership packet?
Standard processing time is 2-3 weeks. After your membership has been processed, for those who have given a valid and legible e-mail address, you will receive an e-mail confirmation the day after your membership has been processed. A membership packet, including your card, should be received 2-4 weeks after being processed.
- Q: I haven't received my copy of Lacrosse Magazine. What's the delay?
Lacrosse Magazine is mailed at the end of the month prior to the issue date. The date your membership is processed will determine the first issue of Lacrosse Magazine you will receive. All adult and high school members receive all published issues. Youth members receive the February, March, April, May, July and October issues.
If you are a current member but have missed an issue, as part of your membersehip, contact the membership department at 410.235.6882 ext. 102 or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will send you a back issue, supplies permitting.
If you are a member and would like to purchase a back issue, the cost is $10 for the March issue and $5 for all other issues. You may order by contacting the membership department at 410.235.6882 ext. 102 or send an e-mail to email@example.com.
Some members have noticed that the address label on the magazine is now being printed upside down. This is not a printing error. This is a new requirement from the USPS for periodicals using co-mail (which we do). The only way to print addresses right-side up would be to move them to the back cover, which we do not favor doing at this time.
- Q: How can I update my record including a change of address or personal information?
Members may now update their personal information on our web site. Utilizing a secure US Lacrosse web page, members may post their updated information directly into our database. If preferred, you may also e-mail any changes in personal information to firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to include the former information, corrected or new information, the member's name, and member number.
