The United States captured its fourth straight U-19 World Championship by defeating Australia 14-11 in the Gold Medal Game and completing an undefeated run through the 10-day tournament in Hannover, Germany.

Team USA was one of six teams in Pool A, and played each of the other pool teams in a round-robin format. Teams were reseeded at the conclusion of pool play, with the U.S. tabbed as the number one seed as elimination bracket play began. The U.S. then defeated Scotland and England in the quarterfinal and seminfal rounds before claiming the win over the Aussies in the final.

The Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) Women's U-19 World Championship Tournament was hosted for the first time in Germany, running from August 3-13, with all games played in Hannover.
