The staff of Lacrosse Magazine, a publication of US Lacrosse, has been awarded the President's Cup by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) in recognition of its support for women's lacrosse, the association announced Wednesday.
Lacrosse Magazine has been recognized by the IWLCA for its coverage of women's lacrosse.
"The communications staff of US Lacrosse, under the leadership of Director of Communications Brian Logue, is responsible for the content of Lacrosse Magazine Online (LMO) and the print magazine," the IWLCA stated in a press release. "The original coverage of the student-athletes, coaches and issues that surround women's lacrosse has been exemplary and groundbreaking, helping educate the public in the sport."
Lacrosse Magazine is the flagship publication of US Lacrosse, a 300,000-member nonprofit organization that serves as the sport's national governing body. Now in its 33rd year of production, LM is the most widely-read lacrosse publication in the world. US Lacrosse also publishes original content on Lacrosse Magazine Online, providing complete coverage of all levels of the game.
"We’re very grateful to the IWLCA for awarding Lacrosse Magazine the President’s Cup," said Paul Krome, editor of Lacrosse Magazine. "It is our pleasure, and honor, to chronicle the great players and even better people that are involved in women’s lacrosse. The women’s game has a bright future, and we’re looking forward to continuing to bring to the sports community the stories of the people and events that shape women’s lacrosse."
