The First Stick Program is the ultimate grassroots initiative for new and developing youth (U19 and below) lacrosse teams nationwide. It is designed to deliver comprehensive US Lacrosse developmental and safety resources, equipment, USL membership and coaches training to awarded teams

With the assistance of generous donor contributions, the First Stick Program will provide a multi-year deployment of comprehensive US Lacrosse resources to expand participation beyond traditional boundaries and inspire kids to play hard, dream big, and act responsibly within the sport of lacrosse and the game of life.

The First Stick Program is inspired by the life journey and experiences of founders Paul Meyer, Peter Gibson, and Lou Delligatti, who where teammates and friends at Oceanside High School in New York.

Grateful for the way lacrosse shaped and redirected their lives in positive ways, their dedication to the First Stick Program reflects their desire to open doors for participation and share their spirit of gratitude and commitment to offering destiny changing opportunities to other young lacrosse players.

Make A Gift Today
You may make a gift to the First Stick Program by clicking the "Donate" button. Your secure, online gift will support the donation of equipment to players and teams, as well as additional player development resorces and coaches training resources provided to First Stick Program participants. 

Explore Endowment Gifts
You may donate to build a permanent reserve fund for long-term support of the First Stick Program. Gifts of every size are needed and appreciated. By making a gift of $100,000 you may memorialize an inspirational individual or restrict your gift to support grants in a specific region or community. Please inquire about making a major gift to permanently endow the First Stick Program by contacting the US Lacrosse Financial Development Department at 410.235.6882, ext. 121, or via e-mail at uslfund@uslacrosse.org. 

Include the First Stick Program in Your Will
You may make a donation to the First Stick Program in your will by consulting your attorney and using language such as: "I hereby give, devise and bequeath the sum of $ ________ (or) the following specific asset: ________________ (or) ___ % of my residual estate after settling to the US Lacrosse Foundation, a not-for-profit charitable corporation incorporated in the State of Maryland and presently having offices at 113 West University Parkway, Baltimore, MD 21210, to be incorporated within the permanent reserve fund know as the First Stick Program."
