In the near future, US Lacrosse will be releasing a more comprehensive formal online tutorial which will be a requirement for men’s game coaching certification starting in 2013.

USL’s objectives for lacrosse participants as related to contact:

♦ Embrace contact in the men’s game as a part of the game.

♦ Educate where contact happens in the men’s game, and how learning to accept impact can keep players safe.

♦ Explain proper contact form and application to keep the play safe and legal.

♦ Encourage drills and skills to be taught at all age levels based on the appropriate level of contact at that age group.

♦ Educate players, coaches, and parents on the situations that occur around contact and how to discuss and handle them as they occur in the sport.
