In the near future, US Lacrosse will be releasing a more comprehensive formal online tutorial which will be a requirement for men’s game coaching certification starting in 2013.
Contact is something that happens all the time in men's lacrosse. Making contact is the action of applying pressure with one's body to the body of another player on the field.
Body contact comes in two general categories: Legal Contact (first video below) and Illegal Contact (second video below). The distinction between the two categories is based on the technique of the one applying contact, the situation in which contact is made, and the intent of said contact.
Contact remains a part of the game as equipment has been developed to protect players from reasonable and legal contact while maintaining the mobility required to play the game.
