This traditional US Lacrosse event had a different look and feel in 2010 as it moved to Florida for the first time and became a part of ESPN's RISE Games. The event featured 96 of the top high school players in the country, representing all corners of the United States, competing in a four-team format over three days.
The ESPN Rise Games are a weeklong, multi-sport event that are the culmination of ESPN's 20-year history of covering high school sports. ESPN RISE also represents ESPN’s commitment to engage and elevate high school athletes by providing them with recognition, resources, information and inspiration that can motivate them to improve their skills and achieve their goals to be the best athletes they can be. US Lacrosse and the RISE games give amateur athletes from across the country a way to RISE to the next level of competition.
In addition to the US Lacrosse Boys' High School Showcase, the US Lacrosse U-15 National Championship (boys and girls) as well as the inaugural 2010 US Lacrosse Girls' High School Showcase are also a part of the ESPN RISE Games.

Participant Selection Process/Team Rosters
Working through US Lacrosse's High School Area Chairmen, 96 graduating seniors were selected after careful consultation with high school coaches in all regions.

Player Eligibility Criteria
• Applicants must be current seniors in high school: Class of 2010.
• Post high school graduates who continue to compete for a high school program are NOT eligible to be considered for the event.
• Applicants must be active healthy players on their current team, and applicants must be of outstanding character, be in good standing in their school and community, and demonstrate great sportsmanship on and off the field.
• Applicants must be available to attend every aspect of the event (please refer to the enclosed dates and schedule.)
• Applicants must be current members (through July 31, 2010) of US Lacrosse to play. Membership status can be checked at www.uslacrosse.org.
• Applicants must submit a non-refundable application fee of $25.00 along with the application to High School Area Chairmen by April 1, 2010.
• Applicants selected to a team are responsible for all additional expenses, including but not limited to, registration fee, travel costs (i.e. airfare) to and from the event and other incidentals.
