Driving Directions to Stony Brook University

FROM BALTIMORE:
· I-95 North toward New York
· Keep Right to take I-95 N Crossing into Delaware.
· Take the New Jersey Turnpike exit onto I-295N.
· Continue on New Jersey Turnpike N. for 73 Miles.
· Keep Right to take I-95 N/New Jersey Turnpike.
· Take exit #13 towards Goethals Br/Verrazano Bridge (I-278) to cross into New York.
· Keep Right to take 1-278 E toward Belt Parkway East.

FROM THE NORTHEAST:
· Take I-95S. Fork Left onto I-695 S towards Throgs Neck Bridge (I-295)/ Long Island.
· Merge onto I-295 South.
· Take exit #8 - Cross Island Expressway South.
· Take exit 30E – Long Island Expressway (I-495) toward Eastern Long Island.
        - OR -
· Take I-95S. Take exit 14 - Hutchinson Parkway South toward Whitestone Bridge.
· Hutchinson Parkway becomes I-695 South.
· Take the Cross Island Parkway South exit on left toward Eastern Long Island.
· Take exit 30E - Long Island Expressway (I-495) toward Eastern Long Island.

FROM NORTHEAST via FERRY:
· Take the Bridgeport, Connecticut Ferry to Port Jefferson, Long Island.
· Take Route 25A west to Nicolls Road, and turn left on Nicolls.
· The University entrances are the first three intersections you come to.

· Take the New London, Connecticut Ferry to Orient Point, Long Island.
· Take Route 25A west to Nicolls Road, and turn left on Nicolls.
· The University entrances are the first three intersections you come to.

ON LONG ISLAND:

Long Island Expressway from NYC:
· Take the Long Island Expressway (LIE, I-495) Eastbound to exit 62.
· Follow Nicolls Road (Route 97) North for 9 miles.
· The main entrance to the University is on the left.
· Nicolls Rd. ⇒ South Drive ⇒ parking/fields on your left.

Northern State Parkway from NYC:
· Take the Northern State Parkway East toward Eastern Long Island.
· Northern State Parkway becomes RT-347/454E/Veterans Memorial Highway.
· Turn slight left onto Route-347E Smithtown.
· Turn Left onto Nicolls Road (Route-97)
· Nicolls Rd. ⇒ South Drive ⇒ parking/fields on your left.

Southern State Parkway from NYC:
· Take the Southern State Parkway East toward East Islip.
· Keep Left to take the Sagitoks Parkway North via Exit 41A toward Sunken Meadow Park.
· Merge onto the Northern State Parkway via Exit SM1 E toward Eastern Long Island.
· Northern State Parkway becomes RT-347/454E/Veterans Memorial Highway.
· Turn slight left onto Route-347E Smithtown.
· Turn Left onto Nicolls Road (Route-97).
· Nicolls Rd. ⇒ South Drive ⇒ parking/fields on your left.

Sunrise Highway from NYC:
· Take Sunrise Highway (Route-27) East.
· Take Exit 51 toward CR-97/Nicholls Rd/Blue Point/ Stony Brook.
· Stay straight to go onto Sunrise Highway.
· Merge onto CR-97.
· Nicolls Road toward Stony Brook.
· Nicolls Rd. ⇒ South Drive ⇒ parking/fields on your left.

Monday–Friday:
Hospital/Chapin Route (5:30 am to 10:30 pm)
Outer Loop Route (7 am to 10:30 pm)
Railroad Route (7 am to 12:00 pm).

Saturday & Sunday:
Hospital/Chapin Route (8 am to 5 pm)
Outer Loop Route (8 am to 5 pm)
Mall & Shopping Routes (10:30 am to 4:30 pm every 90 minutes).
