US Lacrosse and the WGOSC requires all National and International rated umpires to perform national service at least once during their three-year rating term, or at least twice during a four-year rating term. Through umpiring and/or rating at the National Tournament, this requirement can be fulfilled. Failure to fulfill this requirement may result in the loss of one’s National rating.

District rated umpires are encouraged to register and would benefit from this experience of three-person officiated games. Skilled Local rated umpires familiar with the three-person system are also encouraged to register to officiate. Local rated umpires interested must list past experience with the three-person system and be recommended by their Super Region Chair.

Attention National and International Umpires Providing "Service" (i.e. "Raters")　
The WGOSC Executive Committee needs 30 "Nationals" who would be willing to serve as "Head Raters" (one for each of the 30 candidates) AND be willing to serve all day Saturday and Sunday at the National Tournament.
