Roster Size
Teams are permitted a maximum of 24 players, four coaches and four chaperones (coaches may double as chaperones).
Tournament Play and Bracketing
All divisions will participate in pool play leading into bracket play. Teams will have a four-game guarantee (weather permitting). Each age and gender division will have a Regional Champion crowned, and each member of the winning team will receive a medal. In the U15 division, the top four (4) teams in each region will receive an automatic invitation to the U15 National Championship with free or discounted registration.
Background Checks
Background checks are required for all coaches and chaperones. This is MANDATORY.
Below is a list of accepted background checks. Please read the following carefully.
If you are a coach certified through Level 1 of the US Lacrosse Coaching Education Program (CEP), then you have already had the background check completed and US Lacrosse has this on file. There is no need to complete another one.
US Lacrosse will no longer accept a background check completed through your current employer. All background checks must go through NCSI.
If you have not had a background check completed, click here for instructions to do so through a US Lacrosse partner, NCSI. The process will take at least ten (10) BUSINESS DAYS to complete and the cost is $22.50 per person. Additional fees may apply if you live in the following states: CA, LA, MN, MS, NV, NY, SD, TN, or VT.
Background check results must be received by US Lacrosse no later than May 6, 2012, so please plan accordingly.
Hotel Accommodations
US Lacrosse will no longer require teams to purchase a lodging package; however, US Lacrosse will require all coaches, chaperones and players to stay in designated tournament hotels. Any player, coach or chaperone that is not registered at a US Lacrosse designated tournament hotel will be ineligible to participate in the event. Parents are welcome to book at the designated tournament hotels and are able to share rooms with their children. Teams will not be placed in hotels; they will have an option to choose from the list of designated hotels pending availability. Hotel reservations are first come, first serve.
Parents and other fans are encouraged to book rooms via marriott.com/uslacrosse to receive the best available rates. Marriott contributes a portion of each sale via that site back to US Lacrosse's efforts to expand youth participation, train coaches and officials, and research and reduce lacrosse injuries.
