At Maryland: The natural left-handed attackman enters his senior year at Maryland with a 33-game point scoring streak...ACC Player of the Year (2004)...ACC Rookie of the Year (2003)...All-ACC selection (2004, '05)...ACC Tournament MVP (2004)...ACC All-Tournament (2004, '05)...Member of two ACC championship teams (2004, '05)...Joe has led the Terps in scoring in each of his three seasons in College Park...Helped Maryland reach the 2005 Final Four in Philadelphia where they lost 18-9 to Duke in the semifinals...In his first two seasons Joe helped Maryland get to the NCAA Quarterfinals (2004) and the 2003 Final Four in Baltimore where the Terps lost 14-4 to Virginia...Joe's 79 points through his sophomore season were the most by any second-year player in Maryland history...He became the seventh player in UM history to reach 100 career points in his first two seasons...25 career hat tricks...The 14th player in UM history to score more then 100 goals in a career...Led the ACC in points, points per game, game-winning goals and assists in 2004...First Terrapin to earn ACC Player of the Year and ACC Tournament MVP honors in the same season...Joe was tied for second in the nation in goals (46) and third in points (68) in 2004...Team MVP (2005)...Two-time team Attackman of the Year (2004, 2005)...He is currently tied for sixth on the school's all-time goal scoring list with 117, which is 32 shy of the school record of 149 goals.
