Baltimore City Middle School Lacrosse League Baltimore, Md. www.parksandpeople.org The Baltimore City Middle School Lacrosse League provides Baltimore City Public School students with the opportunity to participate in organized lacrosse league competition. The league consists of eight Baltimore City Middle Schools. Annually, during the spring more than 160 young people identified by their schools normally participate in the league. The Baltimore City Middle School Lacrosse League is an excellent opportunity for young people to learn the fundamental skills of lacrosse, teamwork and sportsmanship. Along with building lacrosse skills, the league also reinforces the importance of school by monitoring academic performance, daily attendance and citizenship of players. Click here for Recent News

The club provides a lacrosse experience to children in the Baltimore area ages three to ten.
Black Women in Sport Foundation Philadelphia, Pa. www.blackwomeninsport.org The Black Women in Sport Foundation was founded in 1992 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the involvement of black women and girls in all aspects of sport including competition, coaching, administration and policy. In their first decade the foundation has created videos, educational manuals and a scholarship program. In addition, they support extensive golf, tennis, fencing, and lacrosse instructional programs with schools and community based organizations. These programs also include instruction in sport science literacy, as well as life skills.

Blax Lax Incorporated was established in 2001 by former members of the Morgan State University lacrosse program. The purpose and the mission is to expand the knowledge and participation of the game of lacrosse in the African-American community in Baltimore City and the surrounding area. Their programs are designed not only to teach and improve the skills of the sport of lacrosse but to develop a framework of a community. This allows for personal growth and develops a support system with the common interest of lacrosse being the focal point.
Bobby Campbell Lacrosse Foundation Trenton, N.J. www.campbelllacrosse.org The Bobby Campbell Lacrosse Foundation is a nonprofit foundation that was formed in 1999. This spring the BCLF will begin a Youth Lacrosse Program in Trenton, New Jersey designed to bring the game of lacrosse and its traditions and life-building skills to a diverse population of inner-city youth. Combining national affiliations with US Lacrosse and local affiliations with the Boys and Girls Club of Trenton and local community groups the Foundation aims to provide both a strong athletic, academic and social framework for our participants. The program will begin with teams for elementary and middle school aged boys and girls and will grow with their participants.

It provides both a competitive lacrosse environment as well as educational assistance to kids in historically underserved neighborhoods in the New York metro area. The admirals program looks to expose New York City youth to previously inaccessible social, recreational, educational and professional opportunities. Through the sport of lacrosse, the program's mission is to foster and encourage strong values within its participants, including dedication, a strong work ethic, teamwork, respect for self and others, good citizenship and personal responsibility. Currently there are over 100 members, boys and girls ranging in age from 6-15, actively participating in the Admirals' program.

 Lacrosse for LIFEs mission is to create after-school youth lacrosse teams in under-served, urban communities in San Francisco in collaboration with schools, community centers, other neighborhood agencies and members of the community. By participating in a competitive, team environment, local children will learn self esteem through the values of goal-setting, discipline and respect for self and others, enabling them to establish a framework for personal improvement that is applicable to all areas of life.  Palm Beach Lacrosse Foundation is a nonprofit organization promoting the sport of lacrosse in under-served areas and more. They stress the importance of character building, teamwork and a healthy lifestyle. They are developing positive role models for the community through the game of lacrosse.

 MetroLacrosse is a nonprofit organization that provides sports-based character education programs to approximately 500 youth in eight of Boston's urban communities Allston/Brighton, Chelsea, East Boston, East Cambridge, Dorchester, Hyde Park, Mattapan and Roxbury. Through its character education curriculum that builds upon the lessons learned while participating in team sports, MetroLacrosse highlights the importance of a healthy lifestyle, focuses on developing strong teamwork and communication skills and aims to teach participants lessons that are transferable to their daily lives.

 Native Lacrosse is a community program designed to encourage young people, especially Native Americans, to become responsible and respectful members in their community. Lacrosse is a spiritually based game given to Native Americans by the Creator, to help heal individuals, communities and to resolve disputes. Native Lacrosse encourages family involvement in its commitment to the physical, emotional, and spiritual well being of program participants. Richmond Lacrosse Academy (RLA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free, year-round recreational and educational activities to underserved youth in Metropolitan Richmond, Va. Using the sport of lacrosse as a motivational medium, RLA promotes positive youth development through the integration of life skills programming in a safe, structured and enjoyable environment.

The Washington Inner City Lacrosse Foundation (WINNERS Lacrosse) is a nonprofit organization that was started in October 2000 to provide youth from historically underserved neighborhoods, in the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, the opportunity to learn the game of lacrosse. More importantly, WINNERS Lacrosse uses the game of lacrosse as the vehicle to instill values, education and life sustaining skills that will give young boys and girls the opportunity to be successful. Their motto is, "Helping to create WINNERS on and off the field." The program's goal is to make their motto a reality.
