Host a Level 1 Clinic

Host a Level 1 Clinic!
About the Clinics
Level 1 Instructional Clinics are a national series of standardized clinics run by US Lacrosse in conjunction with its regional chapters across the country from the months of November through March. These clinics are foundational for all lacrosse coaches and will be required of coaches wishing to attain a Level 1 certification through US Lacrosse. To date, nearly 4,000 coaches have attended this ground-breaking fundamental coaching clinic in over 80 sites in 34 chapters across the United States.

Don't miss the opportunity to bring one of these events to your area. Demand is high as more coaches seek to become certified. US lacrosse is currently accepting applications for the next cycle of clinics, from October 2008 through March 2009.

All applications are due by May 15, 2008

Interested in Hosting a Clinic During the Next Cycle?
Here's how:

1. Download and read all the information in the Intent to Host Application Instructions and the Hosting Information Handbook (see below). Hosting a national clinic is a big responsibility, but worth the effort.

2. Contact your local US Lacrosse Chapter and indicate your interest in assisting them in hosting an open clinic for all coaches in your area. (Local chapters receive the most current hosting information and deadlines directly from US Lacrosse.)

3. Work with the local chapter to submit an Online Intent to Host Form. This is an easy-to-complete, online form that allows US Lacrosse to plan for the geographic diversity of the clinics and to begin preparations for the upcoming season's schedule.

4. Later in 2008, hosting applicants will be contacted and asked to provide detailed information about their site and specific dates by completing a Site Information Worksheet. All sites and dates for Fall 2008 clinics must be determined by July 31, 2008, and dates for Winter 2009 clinics must be determined by August 31, 2008.

With the availability of certification, US Lacrosse is dedicated to hosting clinics across the United States and allowing coaches in all regions the opportunity to attend a Level 1 clinic.

Independent/Private Clinics
If you are a league or club looking to educate your coaches by hosting a private Level 1 clinic, please download the following document which contains the procedures for non-chapter groups applying to host. US Lacrosse asks that leagues first contact their local chapter and look to partner with them as a primary option. Open clinics hosted by US Lacrosse chapters take scheduling priority. Independent groups must also complete the Online Intent to Host Application by May 15, 2008.
