Attn: Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coaches in the Adirondack Chapter - U.S. Lacrosse

Once again this year, the Adirondack Chapter is pleased to announce the formation of a regional team to compete in the Schoolgirls Division of the National Tournament held over Memorial Day Weekend in Stony Brook, New York, site of the NCAA Division 1 Final Four. Until last year, players in this region were required to try out for a position on a team under the Upstate Chapter, located in the Syracuse region.  Beginning last year, the Adirondack Chapter created its own regional team and we are again excited to be able to provide an opportunity to varsity players in the Capital Region and Adirondack Area through the Adirondack Chapter of U.S. Lacrosse. Our Chapter team was very successful last year while playing in a very competitive, national level recruiting division.

Varsity coaches must be members of U.S. Lacrosse in order for their varsity players, grades 9-11, to be eligible to try out for the team. In order to provide players with this exciting opportunity, we encourage the varsity coaches to become members of U.S. Lacrosse. The tryout date and location are Sunday, April 29, 2012, Niskayuna Rec Center, Niskayuna, New York, and further information will be forwarded through the Adirondack Chapter and is also available through the U.S. Lacrosse website. Varsity coaches wishing to be considered as a selector or for one of two coaching positions for the team will be able to complete an online application through the same U.S. Lacrosse website.
