FROM THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT
It is both an honor and a priviledge to be affiliated with the lacrosse community in San Diego. I am hopeful that numerous positive changes will develop among the lacrosse community enabling us to be a region of common interest for both athletes and coaches.
During the season of play, I look forward to watching the "Spirit of the Game". It really isn't about who wins the game but how the game was played. One goal wins a game. A win by more than 15 goals is a reflection of an unskilled coach and a genuine lack of respect for opposing players.
As coaches, we have the unique opportunity of teaching valuable lifelong skills and changing a players' attitude and behavior for the better. Let us not take that chance lightly.
As parents, let us learn the rules of the game before we embarass oneself and our children on the sideline. Cheer with enthusiasm and respect for all.
As players, remember you are there to play the game, win with grace and lose with dignity.
US Lacrosse is a wealth of information for coaches, players and parents. Please take the time to see what is available for you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments or concerns.
