Event Description The US Lacrosse Intercollegiate Associates National Championship showcases the nation's top 16 Women's Intercollegiate Associates lacrosse teams at the same venue. The event is hosted and managed by US Lacrosse, the national governing body of lacrosse.
Event Location The 16 teams selected for the championship will compete at the Scottsdale Sports Complex, which is serving as the event's host site for the first time.

Official Event Hotel Information US Lacrosse has secured an Official WDIA Host Hotel - the Scottsdale Marriott at McDowell Mountains - along with other nearby overflow properties to accommodate participating teams during the week of the tournament. Kick-Off Awards Ceremony US Lacrosse will kick off the week of play with the 2009 WDIA Awards Ceremony and an official welcome presentation from the WDIA Tournament Committee on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. at the Scottsdale Marriott at McDowell Mountains. This event recognizes the triumphant careers of several exceptional WDIA athletes and coaches who have made extraordinary individual strides and team contributions to the game of lacrosse. Several awards are presented throughout the evening, including one of the highest distinction awarded by the WDIA Council, the Player of the Year award. All teams are invited and strongly encouraged to attend. Light Southwestern fare and refreshments will be served. (There is no additional cost for teams to attend as all fees have been included in the team registration payment of $1,000.00).
