This new addition to the WDIA Championship weekend is open to the first eight WDIA teams that return application and payment, meet all WDIA Championship eligibility requirements, and apply by April 1. US Lacrosse Women’s Division Intercollegiate Associate teams are invited to compete in the first annual IA Open Festival that will be held in conjunction with the WDIA National Championships.

Official Event Information
The US Lacrosse Women’s Division Intercollegiate Associates Council and US Lacrosse Special Events Department have developed this new event in an effort to create an opportunity to recognize and deliver value to those hard working WDIA teams who have never had the chance to participate in or see the WDIA Championship games. The Open Festival will provide eight teams from across the country a chance to compete against other teams from across the country that they may not play in the regular season. This is an official US Lacrosse event at a top-quality venue, with national umpires – and a chance to watch some incredible women’s lacrosse! All Open Festival teams will play four games over the three-day weekend and also be given the opportunity to watch the top two teams compete for the WDIA National Championship title at Invesco Field. Competition will be played in a festival format and will follow US Lacrosse rules. There is not a crowned champion at the conclusion of the Open Festival event.
Registration & Games Management Fee
All teams are required to submit their official roster and a team payment of $800 (payable to US Lacrosse) by April 1 to secure their registered spot in the festival. Please call 410.235.6882 x123 if you wish to register for the Open Festival.

US Lacrosse Membership
All team members (coaches included) must be individual US Lacrosse members before applying. Register online at www.uslacrosse.org/membership before the team roster is submitted.
 Official Event Hotel Information
US Lacrosse has secured an Official WDIA Host Hotel to accommodate participating teams during the week of the tournament. The Renaissance Denver Hotel is an ideal location because of its close proximity to the fields at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, special offers (complimentary airport shuttle) and discounted rates. A limited block of rooms has been reserved for players, families, and friends, and listed under the name "US Lacrosse." A special rate has been negotiated for these rooms at $99 per night. Please call 1-888-238-6762 to reserve your rooms and be sure to mention it is for the "US Lacrosse." The cut-off date for reservations at this special rate is May 2nd. After this date, all rooms in the reserved block will be released to the general public and the US Lacrosse rate will no longer be honored.
