Championship • Saturday, May 13

No. 1 San Diego 10, No. 6 St. John's (Minn.) 3
Top-seeded San Diego broke open a 3-3 game in the second half by outscoring No. 6 St. John's (Minn.) 7-0 to secure its second straight US Lacrosse Men's Division B IA National Championship defeating the Johnnies 10-3 at Tom Kimbrough Stadium in Murphy, Texas. San Diego sophomore Dan Barber was named Offensive MVP as he led all-scorers with four goals and one assist. Freshman Ben Tilton added three goals and two assists in the victory for the Toreros. The Johnnies scored the game's first two goals in the first three minutes and 12 seconds to take a quick 2-0 lead. Barber answered with his first goal of the game to conclude the quarter with San Diego trailing 2-1. St. John's Lance Wheeler scooped up a ground ball and deposited in the net with 14:01 left in the second quarter to increase the Johnnies lead to 3-1. San Diego would then score nine unanswerd goals to clinch the national championship.

Semifinals • Friday, May 12

No. 1 San Diego 8, No. 5 Montana 6 
Sophomore Daniel Barber finished with four goals and two assists and freshman Ben Tilton added a pair of goals to lead defending champion San Diego back to the title game. The Toreros will try to capture their second straight championship when they face St. John's in Saturday afternoon's final. Marshall Schultz and Nate Allera also netted goals for San Diego, which led 4-2 at halftime and 7-5 after three quarters. Montana pulled to within one in the final quarter before Barber's fourth tally sealed the win. Sophomore Zander Ault had three goals for the Grizzlies and freshman Will Freihofer added two goals. San Diego's Kyle Botsch (6 saves) and Joe Williams combined for 10 saves, while Montana's Colin Connery recorded 16 stops.

No. 6 St. John's (Minn.) 10, No. 7 Eckerd 9
Freshman Brian Strauss had three goals and three assists and senior Kyle Hinner netted the game-winner with 5:15 remaining in the fourth quarter to help the Johnnies advance to their first tournament championship game. Trailing by one goal midway through the final quarter, Strauss tallied his third of the game to knot the score at the 6:27 mark, setting up Hinner's game-winner a little over a minute later. Eckerd had four shots for a game-tying goal in the final 30 seconds, but could not slip one past St. John's goalie William Durbin, who finished with 17 saves. Senior Kyle Sullivan led Eckerd, which made its first tournament appearance, with five goals and an assist. The Johnnies' defense contained Eckerd's high-scoring brother combo of Raymond and Anthony Vasilas, which finished with a combined two goals and four assists after tallying a combined 17 points in Eckerd's quarterfinal upset of Utah Valley State.

Quarterfinals • Thursday, May 11

No. 1 San Diego 14, No. 8 Northern Colorado 3
Top-seeded San Diego scored 10 second half goals en route to a 14-3 Men's Division B quarterfinal victory over No. 8 Northern Colorado at Russell Creek Park in Plano, Texas. USD junior attackman Marshall Schulz led the way with five goals and one assist. Freshman Ben Tilton (3 goals, 2 assists) and junior Devin Muna (2, 3) both added 5-point games in the victory for the Toreros. Northern Colorado freshman Brian Evans paced the Bears with two goals and two assists. The Toreros led 4-1 at halftime before outscoring UNC 6-0 in the decisive third quarter. USD, the defending Men's Division B champions, will next face No. 5 Montana in the semifinals on Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.

No. 7 Eckerd 22, No. 2 Utah Valley State 10
Eckerd senior attackman Raymond Vasilas single handily carried his team into the Men's Division B semifinals, scoring a tournament record 12 points as the No. 7 Tritons surprised No. 2 Utah Valley State 22-10 in the quarterfinal round at Russell Creek Park in Plano, Texas. Raymond (10 goals, 2 assists) and his brother Anthony (2, 3) combined for 17 points as Eckerd makes its first-ever appearance in the Men's Division B semifinal round where the Tritons will face No. 6 St. John's at 10:30 a.m. Raymond's 10 goals and 12 points smashed the previous tournament records of six and seven, respectively. Eckerd doubled up UVS in shots 64-32. The Tritons led 11-6 at halftime and outscored the Wolverines 11-4 in the second half. UVS, a Men's Division B finalist from a year ago, was led by Walker Bateman's three goals.

No. 6 St. John's (Minn.) 8, No. 3 St. Thomas 7
The Johnnies from St. John's pulled the 8-7 upset over in-state rival No. 3 St. Thomas to advance to Friday's semifinal round where they will play No. 7 Eckerd at 10:30 a.m. at Russell Creek Park in Plano, Texas. St. John's raced out to a 4-2 lead after the first quarter of play but watched St. Thomas tie the game heading into halftime knotted at four apiece. St. John's junior attackman Ben Ivory led all scorers with four goals and two assists. The Tommies got two goals apiece from Dan Ruether and Evan Tornell.

No. 5 Montana 11, No. 4 Claremont 7
It wasn't a good day to be a high-seed in the Men's Division B quarterfinals as three of the top four teams suffered defeat including No. 4 Claremont who lost to No. 5 Montana 11-7 at Russell Creek Park in Plano, Texas. The Cougars led for the entire game until the waning seconds as Montana's Townsend Hall scored his fifth and final goal with seven seconds left in the fourth quarter. The Grizzlies took their first lead and captured the first semifinal berth where they will face top-seed and defending champion San Diego on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Claremont, making its debut in the Men's Division B tournament, led 3-1 after one quarter but the Grizzlies tied the game just before halftime at five apiece. Claremont senior Dylan Sheridan led the Cougars with four goals in defeat.

First Round • Wednesday, May 10

No. 5 Montana 19, No. 12 Southwestern 3
The Grizzlies jumped to a 6-0 first quarter lead and never trailed to capture this opening round match-up. Montana led 8-2 at halftime, then used a 7-0 third quarter to ice the victory. Sophomore Townsend Hall and freshman Will Freihofer led Montana will four goals and two assists each. Four other players added two goals each as the Grizzlies posted the second highest single-game goal output in the two-year history of the B Division. Montana advances to play No. 4 Claremont on Thursday.

No. 6 St. John's (Minn.) 9, No. 11 Harding 7
Junior Ben Ivory finished with three goals and three assists and goalie William Durbin registered 20 saves to lead the Johnnies past Harding in the opening round. Mickey Ramczyk scored two goals and Brian Strauss added a goal and three assists to help St. John’s advance to a Thursday match-up with Upper Midwest Lacrosse League rival St. Thomas. Joe Szostak paced Harding with three goals and one assist.

No. 7 Eckerd 18, No. 10 Augustana 10
Eckered’s senior attackman Raymond Vasilas set a B Division single-game scoring record with nine points, including a record-tying six goals, to lead the Tritons to a win in their first-ever IA Championship Tournament appearance. Eckerd used an 8-2 third quarter run to build on a one-goal halftime lead and seize control. Kyle Sullivan added four goals for Eckerd, with Justin Roberts and Chris Wildman finishing with three goals apiece. Robert Grob led Augustana with three goals.

No. 8 Northern Colorado 7, No. 9 Calvin 6 (OT)
Freshman midfielder Gus Bridges scored unassisted with 3:46 left in overtime to lift Northern Colorado past Calvin and into Thursday’s quarterfinal round. Trailing 6-3 entering the final quarter, Calvin tallied three unanswered goals in the final 15 minutes to force the extra period. Brian Evans led Northern Colorado with two goals and two assists. The Bears, making the IA Tournament debut, meet No. 1 seed and defending B Division champion San Diego Thursday.
