2006 National High School Senior Showcase - Recap

FENTON, Mo - The East team outscored the North team 7-1 in the second half of the championship game to walk away with a 13-7 victory in the final of the 2006 US Lacrosse National High School Senior Showcase. Kevin Kaminski, who will attend Delaware, paced the East squad with four goals, while Chris Daniello, headed to Syracuse, added three goals. Goalies Nikhil Ashra (Princeton) and Michael Novosel (Dartmouth) combined for 17 saves for the East team, which won the event for the first time. Tyler Seymour (Army) had two goals in a losing effort for the North team.

The East team defeated the South team 19-10 in the semifinal round to advance to the championship game. Josh Holmes (Stevens Tech), Peter McNichols (Salisbury School) and Justin Pennington (Rutgers) scored three goals each for the East team in that contest.

The North advanced to the final by defeating the West team 11-9 in the other semifinal. Three players had two goals apiece for the North, which outscored the West 4-1 in the final quarter.

The South placed third in the event by defeating the West team 13-11 in the consolation game. Neal Hicks (Notre Dame) had three goals and Joe Brody (Gettysburg) added two to lead the South squad.
