All high school players are eligible for consideration through the open application process. The deadline for application was March 26, 2008. Players chosen from the applicant pool will be placed on one of the four regional teams to represent their area.
Only those applications that were filled out completely, signed by the player's high school coach, and submitted with a $10 non-refundable processing fee to the US Lacrosse High School Area Chairman by the deadline will be considered.
US Lacrosse High School Area Chairmen will select seven applicants each, rate them and submit their names to US Lacrosse no later than April 1, 2008. Final rosters will be determined by NSS Team Coordinators and announced on the US Lacrosse web site on April 22, 2008. Players selected will also be contacted individually by US Lacrosse.

Players who are chosen for the NSS are required to pay a participation fee of no more than $125 to offset the costs of the event. (The fee may decrease prior to the event.) Players are also responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses.
In order to participate in practices on June 20 and the games and banquet on June 21, it is recommended that players arrive on Thursday, June 19 and depart on Sunday, June 22.
Please note that High School All-American is a separate process and being an All-American in no way guarantees a spot on the National Senior Showcase Roster.
