U-15 Youth Festival Philosophy
The Youth Festivals are an important component of the overall mission of US Lacrosse to provide the best possible lacrosse experience for all participants (Players, Parents, Coaches, Chaperones, Fans and Officials), both on and off the field. There are no champions crowned or awards given. The ideals of respect, sportsmanship, connection, team spirit, trust, leadership and carrying on the traditions of the game are the core philosophy behind the Youth Festivals.
The Youth Festivals exist to allow all participants to enjoy a fun and safe environment as they embrace the shared passion of the lacrosse experience.
The Youth Festivals give US Lacrosse member teams from across the nation a venue to come together to "Honor the Game" of lacrosse. This event format is designed specifically to allow chapters and or programs to send a team of any skill level, to represent them with dignity and class.
The Youth Council and US Lacrosse partner Positive Coaching Alliance are dedicated to the education and fostering of the ideals of sportsmanship — Honoring the Game — to all festival participants. These principals will be reinforced by the US Lacrosse Code of Conduct. All participants are expected to understand and abide by these philosophies and ideals. |
