Event Details
The Women’s Division National Tournament (WDNT) will take place over Memorial Day Weekend (May 23-24, 2009). Cedar Lane Regional Park will play host to the WDNT, which has grown into one of the largest women’s lacrosse events in the nation and features four levels of play: Schoolgirls, Senior Only, Regional Club, and Stars & Stripes divisions.
US Lacrosse and the WDOC requires all National and International rated umpires to perform National Service at least once during their three-year rating term, or at least twice during a four-year rating term. Through umpiring and/or rating at the WDNT, this requirement can be fulfilled. Failure to fulfill this requirement may result in the loss of one’s National rating.
District rated umpires are encouraged to register and would benefit from this experience of three-person officiated games. Skilled Local rated umpires familiar with the three-person system are also encouraged to register to officiate. Local rated umpires interested must list past experience with the three-person system and be recommended by their Super Region Chair.
Attention National and International Umpires providing "service" (i.e. "Raters"):
The WDOC Executive Committee needs 30 "Raters" who would be willing to serve as "Head Raters" (one for each of the 30 candidates) AND be willing to serve all day Saturday and Sunday of the WDNT. Please contact Fran Trumbo at mtrum4@aol.com or Laurette Payette at laurettepayette@gmail.com
