U.S. Women's National Team 2007 Clinics - Feedback

A sampling of comments, e-mails and correspondence received by US Lacrosse following the 2007 U.S. Women's National Team clinics held at various sites throughout the country:

Portland Oregon Clinic - January 20
Thanks for your help in coordinating this event and to all the great OGLA board helpers on the sidelines. It was a great day. The girls' coaching clinic drew (about) 50 folks and the feedback was very positive from new and returning coaches. Wynne and Lise did a great job. The Lumberjax game suite was a great finale. All the players'/clinicians seemed to have had a great time with both age groups. All in all, a great day and a tremendous community building event for Oregon lacrosse. The Chapter hopes next year to repeat and to include the gals' player clinic (maybe with Jen's players) and to add both the women's umpire training and the boy's coaching clinic with the PCA clinic for all. Nike did a great job hosting - it was an unbeatable venue. Thanks to all of you for your efforts, time and energy.
-Ann Witzil, Oregon USL Chapter President

To my favorite people - US Lacrosse!
On behalf of OGLA, we want to thank you for sending the National Team Clinic to Oregon! It was a great weekend, we have heard nothing but positive comments from every parent and coach about what a great experience this was for the girls. We look fwd to having you back in Oregon soon. Thanks again.

OGLA

Gina, Jo, Lindsey, Hilary, Annie, Stacie and Jenn,
I hope you all made it home safely from Portland and are resting before your fun weekend in Orlando. Just wanted to say a big thank you for coming out to Portland and putting on such a great clinic. Your wonderful energy and enthusiasm for this game (and star status) will not be forgotten. We just hope that you had as much fun as our girls seemed to have. Keep up the good work and remember, always keep your took-iss down and keep hugging that tree.

Amy, Vance, Caline, Doo & Court-
Hope your trips home were safe & you slept the whole way. Just wanted to thank you all for the GREAT JOB you did yesterday in Syracuse!! The kids learned a ton, had fun and walked away with a tremendous experience. I've heard positive & enthusiastic feedback from many families. We also made the local Sports last night on 2 channels!! NFL football, SU hoops & US Lacrosse were the top stories!!

Stacie - I also wanted to thank you not only for sending the tees, lanyards & posters at the end of the week but for keeping on top of the whole event from the national perspective. I felt extremely confident & prepared hosting this event with your support from the US Lacrosse Office. You were great!
-Adair Milmoe, Syracuse Clinic coordinator

Emittsburg, MD Clinic
Just had the clinic in Emittsburg this past weekend and it went very well!
-Jess Adams, US Player

Boston, MA Clinic
Boston Clinic went great! We had 91 kids show up. Parents were asking for more information about other clinics, tournaments offered by US Lacrosse.

Orlando Clinic/ Games
I just wanted to send a note to tell you (how) much we enjoyed the clinic at Wide World of Sports on Saturday, and the games on Sunday. I had one in the middle school clinic, and at the high school clinic. I went back and forth to each, and both my girls had a wonderful time. They watched the games on Sunday, keening watching their 'favorites' from the day before. Each player I watched during the clinics was patient with the girls and their enthusiasm for the girls was the best part. We traveled down from Atlanta and wish we could have brought our entire team. The events were very well planned and executed. We absolutely would attend again, and I will be sure to spread positive words about the event and US Lacrosse. Thank you again for such a terrific two days.

It was a pleasure to meet you at the Disney Exhibition Games. I am the volunteer/advocate at Freedom High School for girl's lacrosse who is working on varsity status for lacrosse in Hillsborough County High Schools in Tampa. The US Elite vs. Northwestern challenge was the most AMAZING women's game ever!  This game needs to air on TELEVISION. The energy, passion, skill, and athleticism displayed in that game would be some of the most powerful advocacy for women's lacrosse I have seen.  People need to see this game!  I want the DVD! Make it available to us as soon as possible and let Disney have it later. Thank you,
- Jeanne Wills, Freedom Lacrosse Volunteer

Ohio Clinic
I want to thank you for your support of the clinic. It was great. The US players were awesome. We had 80 girls and some TV coverage. The girls loved the T shirts. Once again, I cannot thank you enough in giving the girls in this area the opportunity to be exposed to this level of players and instruction. Best regards,
-Paul Sieben

Dallas, TX
I wanted to say thanks too! I had a blast this weekend and really enjoy working with US Lacrosse. It’s obvious that you all work really hard to make these events successful and also enjoyable. I can’t wait to get together again.
-Allison Evans, Developmental Team Player

Wolfesboro, NH
The three US Team players were awesome...full of energy on a VERY COLD DAY. Noting that girls from across the UNE Region made the trek to the clinic bodes well for our future.

Stamford, CT
It went really well.  It was wonderful having four US players.  Last year we divided up into five groups and rotated through so that no group was overloaded and crowded.  This year we were able to make more of our stations US Lacrosse stations, which I think is outstanding. Everything was very well organized which kept the 100 girls in order... The US Players were wonderful and I think the girls loved getting the opportunity to meet them. Thank you for all of your help throughout this processes, and thank you for letting us host the Women's US Lacrosse Clinic once again. We love having them here!
Best in Training,
-Sarah Tacy
