Sept. 11 Lacrosse Memorial
On Sept. 11, 2001, terrorists destroyed the World Trade Center buildings in New York City, part of the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and thousands of lives. Many friends of lacrosse—players, coaches, officials and parents—were among those lost.
To honor and remember those victims, US Lacrosse announces plans to design and construct a permanent memorial in the garden of its national headquarters in Baltimore. If you would like to contribute to this effort please contact US Lacrosse Director of Development Susan M. Koches at 410.235.6882, ext. 124, or via e-mail at skoches@uslacrosse.org. You may also make donations online at the bottom of this page. Click here to view the schematic drawing of the proposed memorial.
Also, please help us to identify and honor each friend of lacrosse who was killed in the attack by reviewing the list (below) of individuals reported to US Lacrosse to be missing or confirmed dead, sharing information about them with us, and/or letting us know of other friends of lacrosse whose lives were taken. Please send your information to US Lacrosse Executive Director Steve Stenersen at sstenersen@uslacrosse.org.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and families of those who lost their lives. We join together to gain strength to honor those who shared our love of lacrosse. The information following the names of the individuals lists how they were connected to the game.
