• Total US Lacrosse chapters: 62

• State with the most US Lacrosse chapters: New York (6 chapters: Long Island, Hudson Valley, Adirondack, Upstate New York, Greater Rochester, Western New York)

• There are two (2) men’s professional leagues (Major League Lacrosse and National Lacrosse League). US Lacrosse does not oversee professional lacrosse.

• US Lacrosse does oversee the Men’s and Women’s U.S. National Teams programs. Presently US Lacrosse supports senior level teams and Under-19 teams in both men's and women's lacrosse.

• US Lacrosse does not oversee or run the NCAA Lacrosse Championships.

• US Lacrosse does run several national annual events including: the US Lacrosse National Convention, US Lacrosse Women’s Division Intercollegiate Associates (WDIA) National Championship, US Lacrosse Women’s Division National Tournament, the National Senior Showcase, US Lacrosse National Youth Festivals, US Lacrosse U-15 National Championship, and the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame Induction Celebration.

• US Lacrosse provided 310 New Start kits to new lacrosse programs in 2008.

• US Lacrosse trained 2,185 men’s officials and 508 women’s officials in 2008.

• In men’s lacrosse, officials are called "referees." In women’s lacrosse, officials are called "umpires."

• According to NCAA’s Academic Progress Rate report women’s lacrosse (Division I) ranks second (to crew) in academic progress. Men’s lacrosse ranks fifth in men’s NCAA sports.

• During the 2007-08 academic year, there were 301 women’s NCAA lacrosse programs and 239 men’s NCAA lacrosse programs (Divisions I, II, and III). See the full NCAA Participation Rate Report.
