Boys' High School Coach of the Year Process
This award honors those coaches who exemplify the ideals of the game within their Area. The award is intended to recognize the individuals overall coaching performance and contribution, not just coaching wins — although they may be considered.
Criteria and eligibility: 1. This award is only available to Varsity Head Coaches. 2. The selection process is to be determined by the Area Chairman in conjunction with other Area coaches. 3. The winner must be a member in good standing with US Lacrosse 4. Nominees must demonstrate outstanding sportsmanship on and off the field at all times. 5. Nominees must demonstrate excellent rapport with officials, other coaches and his own players at all times. 6. Nominees did the most with what he had.
Note: Co-Varsity coaches from an Area will not be recognized.
Award process: The SSC's National Awards Chairman will mail all certificates to Area Chairmen in early spring and the recipient acknowledged in an appropriate manner by the respective Area Chairman.
