Four teams are selected to compete in games that are held in June of each year. Each team has a Coordinator who oversees the selection of his team. Each Area Chairman must submit a complete list of nominees to the appropriate Team Coordinator. This is required in order to give the Coordinator more flexibility with team selection. It is up to the Coordinators to select the teams, taking the following into account:
1. Geographical representation: the goal is to have every Area represented on one of the four teams. 2. Positional considerations: every attempt will be made to have a balanced team with the appropriate number of attackmen, midfielders, defensemen and goalies. 3. Player availability
NOTE: Being selected as an All-American or an Academic All-American does not automatically guarantee a spot on one of the All-Star teams. |
