MDOC News Page

US Lacrosse

The US Lacrosse Men's Division Officials Council news page is where new and pertinent information for officials can be found. There are five functional committees of the MDOC: Youth, High School, College, Post-Collegiate Club and International.

The game is always in need of good officials
Beginning in January 2007, the Men's Division Officials Council introduced a newsletter to update its members, at all levels of the game, on the latest news and developments that pertain to men's lacrosse officials. All members are encouraged to submit items of interest. The newsletter, produced in electronic format only, is e-mailed to all MDOC members and also posted on this Web site. Please click on the links below to read the current and recent past editions of Stripes in pdf format.

The Pacific Coast Lacrosse Officials Association is looking for new officials. The explosive growth of the sport in the Los Angeles area - from the South Bay to the San Fernando Valley - has left the region with a shortage of trained officials to cover both high school and middle school games.  If you are a former player and want to reconnect with the sport, a referee in another sport who wants to add lacrosse to your resume or just someone who wants to learn how to officiate this fast paced sport and get paid at the same time, please send us your phone and e-mail contact information and a brief summary of your lacrosse or officiating experience to laxrefs1@verizon.net

The Oregon Lacrosse Officials Association (OLOA) was excited to announce that its first recruiting drive developed over 40 new contacts with the expectation of adding at least 20 more trained and certified lacrosse officials in the coming year. If you are interested in becoming a lacrosse official in Oregon, please contact OLOA Secretary-Treasurer Dan Badders at dbadders@aol.com or call 503.730.6504.
