BALTIMORE, April 27, 2012 — US Lacrosse has announced the sites for the 2012 U.S. women’s national senior team spring and summer clinics. The U.S. women’s national team will offer seven clinics at four sites in three states as it prepares for the July 2012 North American Challenge Cup and the July 2013 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Cup in Oshawa, Canada.
These unique educational sessions will be led by members of the U.S. women’s national team, which includes member of the 2009 FIL World Cup gold medal squad. National team clinics provide youth players the chance to learn from and connect with the sport’s most talented and engaging leaders.
The clinic schedule is as follows:
May 27 – Stony Brook, N.Y.
(US Lacrosse National Tournament at Stony Brook University)
This clinic is offered to players in grades 1-8. All other clinics are for players in grades 1-12.
June 8 – Arlington, Texas
(US Lacrosse Regional Championships at Harold Patterson Sports Complex)
June 15 – Raleigh, N.C.
(US Lacrosse Regional Championships at WRAL Soccer Center)
July 10 – Buffalo, N.Y.
(U.S. women’s national team training camp at Hamburg High School)
The clinic will be run by the entire U.S. women’s national team and there will be specific goalie instruction. Each participant will be given a free ticket to the U.S. women’s national team exhibition game July 11.
