BALTIMORE – Susannah Chase Wittich has joined the US Lacrosse staff as managing director of the US Lacrosse Foundation. Wittich, who has more than 20 years of executive management, sales, marketing and development experience, comes to US Lacrosse from USI Insurance Services LLC, where she served as vice president of sales.
"Susie is a great fit for our fast-growing national governing body," said Steve Stenersen, president and CEO of US Lacrosse and the US Lacrosse Foundation. "She is a talented, experienced and passionate professional who will raise awareness of and support for the leadership we provide to the sport."
The US Lacrosse Foundation exists to support the mission, vision and priorities of US Lacrosse. As managing director, Wittich and her staff will work with the foundation's national board of directors to evolve the organization's philanthropic program by educating individuals, corporations and foundations on the impact of US Lacrosse operations and their importance to the sport's responsible growth and development.
Most recently as vice president of sales at USI, Wittich was responsible for meeting defined projected sales metrics; managing relationships with insurance carriers and vendors; managing executive accounts; and more. Prior to USI, she was the executive vice president of sales and marketing at IWS, LLC.
From 2006 to 2008, Wittich was director of development for the Living Classroom Foundation where she worked with the president and vice president to raise $14 million in annual operating dollars. She was directly responsible for solicitation and management of a $10 million endowment campaign. She previously worked in fundraising as director of development at Washington College and director of the annual fund at Cabrini College.
A graduate of Washington College in Chestertown, Md., where she played lacrosse, Wittich received her Bachelor of Arts in humanities and a minor in sociology.
