BALTIMORE, Nov. 29, 2012 — US Lacrosse and the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League today announced an agreement to boost the experience of the lacrosse community attending the US Lacrosse Fan Fest, Jan. 12, 2013, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
As part of the agreement, Wings general manager and head coach Johnny Mouradian will lead a demonstration on the STX Live Field at 1:30 p.m. Several Wings players are anticipated to be on hand for the weekend’s events, including captains Brodie Merrill and Dan Dawson, Max Seibald, Kevin Crowley and Ned Crotty.
The Wings also will have a booth in lacrosse’s largest expo hall for the 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. duration of Fan Fest. Anyone wearing a Wings jersey to Fan Fest will be admitted for just $5 (general admission is $10).
“Our working relationship with the Philadelphia Wings is one reason we attracted a record crowd of 1,715 to the US Lacrosse Fan Fest in 2012, and we’re delighted to team up with them again to provide a great event for lacrosse fans of all ages in January,” said Beth Porreca, director of special events at US Lacrosse.
“The Philadelphia Wings are excited for the US Lacrosse National Convention’s return to Philadelphia, our participation in the Fan Fest and the continued growth of our valued relationship with US Lacrosse,” said Wings owner Michael French. “I very much look forward to attending the weekend’s events and festivities.”
