Jackie Pitts' lacrosse experience spans the entire spectrum of the sport: player, coach, educator, camp director, administrator and pioneer of women's lacrosse in other countries. She began playing at Sanford High School in Delaware. She graduated in 1959 from St. Lawrence University where lacrosse was not offered. She played club lacrosse for the Philadelphia Bandits and the Philadelphia Women's Lacrosse Association.
