US Lacrosse and its Potomac Chapter will host the U.S. Women’s National Teams for the inaugural Stars and Stripes Weekend from Sept. 29 through Oct. 1. The three national teams will conduct practices, hold clinics for players and coaches and wrap up the weekend with a series of scrimmages against top collegiate and club programs.
Following practices on Friday, Sept. 29, the U.S. National Teams Program will hold three clinics on Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Episcopal School in Alexandria, Va.
The U.S. Developmental Team coaching staff, featuring Dartmouth’s Amy Patton, Middlebury’s Missy Foote, Oregon’s Jen Larsen and Columbia’s Kerri Whitaker, will conduct a clinic geared towards girls’ high school coaches.
The U.S. Elite Team will hold a players clinic for girls aged 13 to 18 and the U.S. Under-19 Team will hold a players clinic for girls aged 12 and under.
All three clinics will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., and cost $40 (including a ticket for Sunday’s exhibition games) for US Lacrosse members. Further information and registration is available on the clinic web page. All registration must be completed in advance.
