The first round of evaluations will again take place at the 2006 US Lacrosse Women's National Tournament on Memorial Day Weekend at Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pa. In order to participate at the National Tournament and tryout for the Elite or Developmental Teams, individuals must register to play on a regional team. Players must also fill out the Intent to Stand Form (see below) and send it into the US Lacrosse national office, as well as a $25 no-show fee that will be returned or voided at the end of final tryouts, no later than May 22nd.

Final tryouts will take place on August 5-6 at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).

If you can not participate at the 2006 US Lacrosse Women's Division National Tournament due to your participation in the NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse National Championships (as a player or if you are a Division I coach) and/or other exterminating circumstances, you must fill out the Waiver Request Form (see below) in addition to the Intent to Stand Form and return to the US Lacrosse National Office no later than May 22nd. Your request will be evaluated by the U.S. National Teams Committee and you will be notified with their decision by May 23rd.

Players should fill out the waiver request even if there is a slight chance they will be participating in the championship. If a player does not make the championship and does not participate in the US Women's Division National Tournament, and does not submit the necessary forms, they will not be eligible to tryout for the U.S. Developmental and Elite teams. Please note the final deadline to register for the US Lacrosse National Tournament is May 6.

* Because of the May 6 deadline to register for the 2006 US Lacrosse Women's Division National Tournament, players should still register with their regional chair and let them be aware of possible conflicts. If a player/coach is chosen to participate in the NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse National Championships, they will be refunded the $75 no-show tournament fee.

A review of NCAA Division I Bylaw 13.11.3.4.2 by the NCAA office has determined that Division I lacrosse coaches may participate in the event, even though it occurs during a dead period for recruiting. Participating Division I coaches may not have any recruiting contact with prospects who participate in the event, nor shall any of the Division I coaches conduct any evaluations of participating prospects.
