The women's national team program is comprised of three teams - the Elite, the Developmental and the Under-19. A brief explanation of each squad appears below.
The Elite (Standing Team) The Elite team, or Training team in years preceeding a World Cup, represents the highest level of playing experience for women's lacrosse players and coaches in the United States, with the exception of a touring team. This squad is comprised of individuals who have demonstrated their exceptional abilities as lacrosse players with regards to skill but also through leadership and sportsmanship. The Elite squad is designed to prepare and train the best players in the country to compete against the best collegiate and international teams in the world.
The Developmental (Standing Team) The Developmental (Devo) team program serves as a means by which the adult lacrosse player can gain greater exposure to international competition and continue to develop her skills with the aim of becoming a member of the Elite or World Cup team. The squad is selected for a period of one year, annually.
The Under-19 Team The Under-19 team represents an opportunity for young women to get exposure to international competition at the National Team level through preparation for competition at the IFWLA World Championship. The U-19 squad is assembled for competition in thequadrennial championships, and its members must not have played at the collegiate level before competing in the World Championships. A two-year commitment is required from team members. • 2007 U-19 Team Home Page

We're still paying our bills and, as always, your support is critical. We can't maintain the excellence without your help!
