St. Louis — Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo and Colorado State took home
the titles at the 2001 US Lacrosse Intercollegiate Associates national

Navy 13-6 on May 13 to win the inaugural women's championship and
in men's play, Colorado State defeated Stanford 16-7 on May 12 to
win its second title in the last three years.
Cal Poly got to the finals by defeating Northwestern 11-7 and faced
a Navy team that had beaten archrival Army 12-9 to get to the finals.
