US Lacrosse Welcomes Reebok As 2002 U.s. Men's Team Sponsor

Baltimore — US Lacrosse has secured Reebok as a supporting sponsor of the 2002 U.S. Men’s Team, as announced by US Lacrosse Director of Development Sally Ratcliffe. The shoe and athletic supply company will provide footwear for the team during its state-side exhibition schedule and for its July 5-15 trip to Perth, Australia, for the International Lacrosse Federation (ILF) World Championship.

"We’re happy to welcome Reebok as a sponsor of the 2002 U.S. Men’s Team, and we’re grateful for the support they are providing to our national teams program," Ratcliffe said.

Reebok International Ltd., headquartered in Canton, Mass., ("Reebok") is a leading worldwide designer, marketer and distributor of sports, fitness and casual footwear, apparel and equipment. Sales for 2001 totaled approximately $3.0 billion.

With a history that goes back to 1895 in Bolton, England, Reebok began operating in the U.S. in 1979 and began aggressive international expansion in the late 1980s. Today, the company's products are sold in more than 170 countries.

"US Lacrosse is the engine that spurs the national and international growth of the game. By providing premium footwear, Reebok provides the National Team Players with the tools they need to defend their World Championship in Perth," said Joe Van Buskirk, Reebok Sports Marketing Manager.

US Lacrosse, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization, is the national governing body of men's and women's lacrosse.
