US Lacrosse Welcomes Reebok As 2002 U.s. Men's Team Sponsor
Baltimore US Lacrosse has secured Reebok as a supporting
sponsor of the 2002 U.S. Mens Team, as announced by US Lacrosse
Director of Development Sally Ratcliffe. The shoe and athletic
supply company will provide footwear for the team during its state-side
exhibition schedule and for its July 5-15 trip to Perth, Australia,
for the International Lacrosse
Federation (ILF) World Championship.
"Were happy to welcome Reebok as a sponsor of the 2002
U.S. Mens Team, and were grateful for the support they
are providing to our national teams program," Ratcliffe said.
Reebok International Ltd., headquartered in Canton, Mass., ("Reebok")
is a leading worldwide designer, marketer and distributor of sports,
fitness and casual footwear, apparel and equipment. Sales for 2001
totaled approximately $3.0 billion.
With a history that goes back to 1895 in Bolton, England, Reebok
began operating in the U.S. in 1979 and began aggressive international
expansion in the late 1980s. Today, the company's products are sold
in more than 170 countries.
"US Lacrosse is the engine that spurs the national and international
growth of the game. By providing premium footwear, Reebok provides
the National Team Players with the tools they need to defend their
World Championship in Perth," said Joe Van Buskirk,

US Lacrosse, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization, is the national
governing body of men's and women's lacrosse.
