U.S. Tops Hudson Valley All-Stars 20-5
MAHOPAC, N.Y. (June 15) The 2002 U.S. Men's Lacrosse
Team remained undefeated with a 20-5 victory over the Hudson Valley
All-Stars on a rainy Saturday evening. The U.S. is now 3-0 on its
six-game exhibition tour before departing for next month's International
Lacrosse Federation World Championship.
Attackman Darren Lowe led the U.S.'s offensive effort with three
goals and four assists while Ryan Boyle and Steve Dusseau each added
three goals as well. Helping aid the balanced effort were Kevin
Lowe, Randy Fraser, Scott Doyle and Kevin Lavey with two goals each.
Michael Powell had four assists.
Leading 4-1 after one quarter, the U.S. team used an eight-goal
outburst in the second quarter to take command of the game.
The U.S. team plays its final East Coast exhibition game on Saturday,
June 22 at the Haverford School (Pa.) at 3 p.m. The U.S. closes
its exhibition schedule next week in California before heading to
Australia for the championship.
