U.S. To Meet Iroquois Nationals In Semifinals
Perth, Australia (July 11) -The United States will meet
the Iroquois Nationals in the semfinal round on the International
Lacrosse Federation World Championship on July 12. The Iroquois
Nationals advanced to the semifinals by defeating Japan 19-14 in
overtime. The United States went 4-0 in pool play (Blue Division),
including a 22-6 win over the Iroquois Nationals, and is the top
seed for the semifinals.
In the only other game on Thursday, Wales defeated Korea 19-10
in a cross-division game. Wales finished sxith in the Red Division
and Korea was the top finisher in the Green Division among ILF member
nations.
