Top Ten Remain Same In US Lacrosse WDIA Poll
Baltimore Navy remains top-ranked, and the top 10 teams
are unchanged, as the US Lacrosse Women's Division Intercollegiate
Associates released its third poll today.
The biggest change in the poll came from No. 11 Georgia. The Bulldogs
have won four straight games since the last poll, and have climed
nine spots since the preseason rankings.
The ECWLA began play during this ranking period, and Delaware opened
up 3-1, losing only to No. 1 Navy by two goals (6-4). The Blue Hens
strong play was rewarded by a No. 22 ranking. Rhode Island was among
three teams to drop out of the poll, while Texas Tech and Santa
Clara played themselves into the rankings.
The US Lacrosse Women's Division Intercollegiate Associates consist
of more than 100 traditional college club teams from around the
country. Eight teams will be invited to the US Lacrosse Intercollegiate
Associates National Championships, which will be held from May 8-11
in St. Louis. US Lacrosse, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization, is
the national governing body of men's and women's lacrosse.
