US Lacrosse WDIA Teams Jockey For Position, But Navy Still On Top In Latest Poll

Baltimore — Several teams have altered their positions, but Navy remains atop the US Lacrosse Women's Division Intercollegiate Associates poll, the fourth of which was released today. Cal-Poly holds at No. 2, as the top two-ranked teams remain unchanged for the third consecutive poll.

Previously third-ranked Miami of Ohio suffered a big drop, falling all the way to No. 13, while Air Force fell out of the poll from No. 6, and NYU dropped out from No. 13. Army, UCLA, Georgia, Auburn, Florida, and Pittsburgh also climbed either into or within the top 10, while Texas A&M and Michigan State maintained positions within the nation's 10 best.

The WWLL leads all conferences with six teams ranked in the top 25. New to the poll this week are Virginia, Baylor, Santa Barbara, Missouri and Towson.

The US Lacrosse Women's Division Intercollegiate Associates consist of more than 100 traditional college club teams from around the country. Eight teams will be invited to the US Lacrosse Intercollegiate Associates National Championships, which will be held from May 8-11 in St. Louis. US Lacrosse, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization, is the national governing body of men's and women's lacrosse.
