US LACROSSE RELEASES ONLINE VIRTUAL TOUR OF LACROSSE
MUSEUM AND NATIONAL HALL OF FAME
BALTIMORE Lacrosse enthusiasts around
the world can now access a virtual tour of the Lacrosse Museum and
National Hall of Fame on the US Lacrosse web site at www.lacrosse.org/museum/.
The virtual tour not only will allow fans to view the timeless exhibits
and memorabilia on display inside the museum, but it also will permit
web users to access archived information.
Realizing that few of our 120,000-plus US Lacrosse
members and other lacrosse fans are able to travel to Baltimore
to visit the Lacrosse Museum and National Hall of Fame, we wanted
to develop this online virtual tour to bring the museum and the
history of lacrosse to them. Those who support the sport around
the world can now experience all that is the Lacrosse Museum and
National Hall of Fame, said Joshua Christian, director
of museum services at US Lacrosse.
The virtual tour features the lacrosse memorabilia,
photographs, plaques, sculptures and awards on display inside the
museum, all depicting the long and distinguished history and development
of the sport in North America. Archived information, including All-America
and All-Star teams, national and international champions, and award
winners also is now just a click away.
The virtual tour includes images of the exterior tented
terrace and interior 118-seat auditorium for those interested in
renting the museum to host a function. Rental information and contracts
also are available online. For further information about the Lacrosse
Museum and National Hall of Fame, contact Christian at 410.235.6882
