Defending Champ Cal Poly Back On Top In WDIA Poll No. 2
Baltimore — Two-time defending national champion Cal Poly SLO finds itself back on top of the US Lacrosse Women's Division Intercollegiate Associates poll, released today. The Mustangs knocked off Western Women's Lacrosse League rival UCLA on the field to leap frog the Bruins into the top spot.
The top six teams remain basically unchanged, except for UC Santa Barbara's slip from five to nine. Delaware moved into the top 10, while Air Force dropped from ninth into a tie with Texas A&M at No. 11. Texas Tech made the biggest jump of five spots from receiving votes to No. 16, and two teams, Arizona State and Rhode Island, enter the poll after being unranked in the last edition.
