US Lacrosse Awards PCA and Coaches Travel Clinic Grants
BALTIMORE — US Lacrosse has announced that 10 lacrosse organizations will receive Positive Coaching Alliance Workshop Grants and seven groups will receive US Lacrosse Coaches Travel Clinic Grants.
The Positive Coaching Alliance and US Lacrosse have been partners for five years. At Positive Coaching Alliance's "Double-Goal Coach Workshop," coaches receive practical and effective tools to help athletes perform at their best while developing skills to excel in life. Coaches explore PCA's three guiding principles: Honoring the Game, Redefining "Winner" and Filling the "Emotional Tank."
Each grant covers all costs for a one-day workshop valued at $2,000 that includes all workshop materials and costs and the cost of travel for bringing the PCA workshop facilitator to the site.
The coaches travel program brings experienced high school and college coaches to developing lacrosse areas to offer their insights and knowledge at coach and player clinics. The Coaches Travel Clinic Grants are a component of the US Lacrosse Coaches Education Program that also includes the Level 1 Online Coaches Courses on the US Lacrosse web site.
