Protective Eyewear Update: May 14, 2004

MEMORANDUM

DATE: May 14, 2004

TO: Lacrosse Coaches, Players, Administrators and Related Organizations

FROM: US Lacrosse

SUBJECT: Halo Sports HS 7000 Eyewear

In response to concerns expressed to US Lacrosse that the HS 7000 eyewear sold by Halo Sports did not meet the ASTM F803-03 standard required by the 2004 Officials Rules for Girl's and Women's Lacrosse, US Lacrosse engaged ICS Laboratories, Inc., a Protective Eyewear Certification Council (PECC) certified lab, to conduct independent testing of the product. The test results confirmed that the HS 7000 does not meet the requirements of ASTM F803-03 for high school, college and post college play.

Although US Lacrosse does not certify the compliance of protective eyewear with the requirements of ASTM F803-03, US Lacrosse does administer the Officials Rules for Girl's and Women's Lacrosse and, in that capacity, US Lacrosse submitted the HS 7000 for independent testing by ICS Laboratories, Inc.

Halo Sports has directed owners of the product to go to www.bangerz.com for consumer assistance.
