US Lacrosse Communications Writer Position

BALTIMORE — The US Lacrosse Communications Department is seeking a writer for their staff to work on Lacrosse Magazine along with other departmental projects. A full job description and applying information is posted below.

Communications Writer
Position: Full-time
Deadline: November 19, 2004
Description:
The primary responsibility of the communications writer will be to produce stories for Lacrosse Magazine, the flagship publication of US Lacrosse. The communications writer will be responsible for generating story ideas, researching topics and writing quality in-depth features. The communications writer will work closely with the editor of Lacrosse Magazine on all aspects of the magazine to help inform the 160,000-plus US Lacrosse members of the organization's activities.

Additional responsibilities for the communications writer will include producing content for the US Lacrosse web site and writing for various US Lacrosse publications, including the Annual Report and other fund raising vehicles. This full-time position reports to the director of communications.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree. Excellent writing skills, strong knowledge of lacrosse, especially women's lacrosse, and familiarity with computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Quark Xpress.
