Rosters Set for US Lacrosse National High School Senior Showcase
BALTIMORE — Ninety-six of the nation's best high school senior boys' lacrosse players will gather in St. Louis June 25-27 for the 2004 US Lacrosse National Senior Showcase, presented by Lax World and STX. The players will be divided geographically into four teams, rosters for which were announced today. "Selection of the 96 student-athletes to participate in the US Lacrosse National Senior Showcase was very difficult given the growth in both the quantity and quality of high school lacrosse programs across the country," said Charlie Burch, chair of the US Lacrosse Men's Division Coaches Council's High School Committee, which is administering the event. "The young men chosen represent the best of their respective areas, and the lacrosse should be very competitive over the weekend in St. Louis." The four teams, North, East, South and West, will compete in a playoff format with semifinal, championship and consolation games at the Anheuser-Busch Center.
