BALTIMORE — Lacrosse is the subject of the main feature article in the latest issue of Sports Illustrated, which will hit newsstands beginning on Wednesday, April 20. The article, "Get on the Stick," was written by Sports Illustrated senior writer Alexander Wolff and includes special reporting from Julia Morrill.

The main feature article also includes a number of sidebars, including "The New Breed" chronicling Colorado’s statewide interest in the sport and "Warrior Culture" looking at technology in the sport. The entire package on lacrosse covers nine pages and includes several quotes from US Lacrosse Executive Director Steve Stenersen.

Johns Hopkins sophomore attackman Jake Byrne appears in an inset photo on the cover, which highlights the National Basketball Association playoffs. The picture carries the caption "The Fastest Growing Sport in America."

Sports Illustrated reaches an audience of 20 million adults each week.

US Lacrosse, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is the national governing body for men's and women's lacrosse.
